A lot of processed foods were coming out.The children born after 1950 lived through the change and when they became adults and had children,got accustomed to boxed foods.The range of food spread from cheap processed foods, to "produce" raw vegetables and fruits that seemed to always be more expensive.
It was easier to buy box foods and convenience took over the roll of cooking. The days of cooking was turning into a roll of shake and bake or just add water.

Now the people who seen the change are now dealing with the most cancers and complications of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Our children now are dealing with obesity and ADD or ADHD, and diabetes.
It is debated that this generations' children may very well not live to be as old as their parents.American society rank in Average-Life-Expectancy is falling. Cancer is rising and obesity is out of control.

Doctors want to treat the symptoms instead of fixing the cause. Take medicine the rest of our lives is the common practice.A lot of working parents don't have time to cook or even prepare a balanced meal day in and day out.
Hot-dogs, boxed-foods and Fast-Foods seems to becoming the normal practice.
